Hakan Albayrak (born 1968 Germany) is a Turkish journalist.[1]
He completed his secondary education in Turkey.[2] He was a writer, in 1983, Ring magazine, the Nihat magazine, Ihlas News Agency, and Yeni Şafak newspaper.[3] In 1994, he was for humanitarian aid to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina,[4] and now has been IHH representative. In 2000, he wrote an article published in National Gazette, for which, in 2003, he was sentenced to 15 months in prison, under Crimes Against Atatürk Law No. 5816. His sentence was reduced to six months. He is married, and father of two children. His brother is Sinan Albayrak.

He was on board the MV Mavi Marmara,[5] in the Gaza flotilla raid, and detained by the Israeli Defence Forces.[6][7][8][9] He was deported to Turkey.[10]
